Two thieves stole $20,000 worth of tobacco and vaping products from New York 7-Eleven store

On August 3, according to foreign reports, the New York Police Department said that two thieves looted more than $20,000 in tobacco and vaping products overnight at a Chelsea 7-Eleven store.



Police said Monday night that around 4:30 a.m. on July 21, the pair broke through the glass front door of a Seventh Avenue convenience store near West 21st Street and released surveillance video of the pair.



Police said they went behind the checkout counter and swiped a variety of tobacco products, cartons of cigarettes and e-cigarettes for a total of $20,230.



Police said the robbers fled after the robbery to a nearby train station at West 23rd Street and Seventh Avenue.



Video released by the NYPD shows them walking through turnstiles and heading in opposite directions. One of them can be seen holding an orange tote bag with the DoorDash logo, looking up at the surveillance cameras.



Another suspect can be seen wearing a black vest emblazoned with the words "We Are Weird".



Police are still seeking to track them down.
